Creating Life Stories

Sifting through our personal stories and those of others promotes understanding and relationship building.  This session offers ways to capture stories and reveal important feelings and needs of individuals.  Attendees are asked to bring family pictures, magazine articles, letters, and/or other items which are part of the personal stores caregivers want to create.

Directions to the North Carolina Arboretum:

Directions — From I-26, take Exit 33 (Old Exit 2) and head South on Hwy 191. Travel for approximately 2.1 miles (You will pass the Biltmore Square Mall). Look for brown signs for NC Arboretum.  Take a right turn at the stop light and just ahead take another right.  Take the parkway ramp off of Brevard Rd to the main entrance.

There is no parking fee if you tell the person at the gate that you are attending this workshop.

Workshop includes lunch, break refreshments, & handouts.  Continuing education credits are included with registration fee. 

Cancellations must be received in writing or by phone no later than 3 days prior to the workshop to receive a full refund.

  Registration Fees: 

        No Charge for non-paid family caregivers
       $50.00 for professionals
       $15.00 for CNAs (special rate)

   Early Registration is encouraged.
